DWAYNE ROBINSON | chief executive officer
Dwayne Robinson is responsible for the leadership and overall management of the firm. In 1997, he founded the firm with a goal to build a team of talented professionals focused on quality and committed to delivering innovation to customers. Previously, Mr. Robinson learned the many facets of the defense contracting industry as an employee of IBM, the National Security Agency and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Together with a team of talented individuals, Mr. Robinson is working to provide high-quality solutions that support the needs of customers in the Federal Intelligence Community, Department of Defense and the commercial sector. A member of the Alex Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at UMBC and the Howard County Hospital Community Relations Board, Mr. Robinson is also a member of Vistage, the world’s leading chief executive leadership organization. Mr. Robinson holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.S. in Management of Information Systems.
JEFF RODDY | finance director
Jeff Roddy joined VSTI in January 2011 and brings with him over 20 years of accounting experience. Mr. Roddy’s experience within the Government sector includes Management of the Internal Audit function ensuring compliance with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements, development and oversight of policies and procedures that are consistent with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and development and implementation of Government approved indirect rate structures. Mr. Roddy also brings Business Development experience where he has led the cost volume effort in incumbent and new work capture processes.
As Finance Director Mr. Roddy leads the organization on financial policies, procedures and strategic planning. He has Oversight of all aspects of financial management, bid and proposal management, cost structures and benefits. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from California University of PA, an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Maryland.
BRYAN HARRIS | chief technology officer
Bryan Harris joined VSTI in 2001 and brings more than 10 years of technical and executive expertise spanning both electrical and computer engineering. As CTO, Mr. Harris is responsible for driving and aligning VSTI’s technical vision and technologies with engineering best practices to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions to customers. Mr. Harris leads VSTI’s Technology Consulting Group, a team of senior consultants who research emerging software standards and technologies, establish vendor partnerships and develop integrated solutions for customers.
Mr. Harris has led the development of enterprise software systems and service oriented architectures in the areas of knowledge management, enterprise search and information extraction. His current focus is on developing innovative real-time alerting and analysis solutions for intelligence analysts using stream processing technologies and 2nd generation federated query architectures. Mr. Harris holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel.
KAREN COLPO | director
Karen Colpo joined VSTI in 2007 and serves as a Director at VSTI and brings 4 decades of intelligence experience to include high profile assignments in areas including Foreign Relations, Counterintelligence (CI), Cryptology, Operations Security, Counter Intelligence Special Programs, Damage Assessments for compromised intelligence equities, Crime and Narcotics supporting the Director of Crime and Narcotics , and liaison between entities in the Department of Justice and IC community (CIA, FBI, NATO) during Enduring Freedom.
Ms. Colpo is considered a Subject Matter Expert on Intelligence Community infrastructure, IC related topics, Counterintelligence, National Security and worldwide area studies and has received numerous awards for accomplishments within the IC and DOJ communities.
DONALD HOLTZCLAW | director, security
Donald Holtzclaw joined VSTI in 2002, and is responsible for the security and safety of all VSTI employees and visitors to corporate facilities. With 24 years of diverse experience in all aspects of the security and facilities fields and a commitment to ongoing professional engagement, Mr. Holtzclaw has been a member of the National Classification Management Society for 15 years and is a founding member of the Industrial Security Awareness Council of Central Maryland.
MELISSA HARRIS | human resources executive
Melissa Harris, a PHR-certified human resources professional, began her career at VSTI in 2002. As VSTI’s Human Resources Executive, Ms. Harris is responsible for VSTI’s corporate HR policies and procedures and new HR programs to support VSTI’s most important asset, its people. Ms. Harris, who graduated from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY with a B.A. degree in Psychology, is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the Ace Group.
JOHN ROBINSON | corporate recruiter
John Robinson joined VSTI in 2004 to manage the firm’s recruiting department after more than 20 years of working in management and customer relations. Today Mr. Robinson works closely with VSTI directors and managers, and his knowledge of the recruiting industry and exceptionally strong interpersonal skills enable him to identify candidate employees whose career goals and aspirations align well with the firm’s culture and strategic vision. Mr. Robinson attended Kingsborough College with a major in Psychology.
